Amy’s study of glass began in her teens when she was mesmerised at the Corning Museum of Glass.  A revelation at a small Vermont studio where she learned about a technique known as Flameworking would be the spark to start her own creative journey with Glass.  

Amy attended international workshops and conferences and went on to study material arts at Sheridan College School of Crafts and Design where she majored in glass blowing.  

Throughout her career, Amy has been drawn to share her love of glass as a speaker and instructor at conferences and studios internationally as well as at her own shop.  At TANK, Jill and Amy used their studio to teach workshops and host international artists for specialized classes to help provide greater access to this technique within Canada.
