Record Brooch Instructions

These are the instructions for saving a song to our BAO Jewellery record player brooches. These instructions are for if you have already purchased a brooch, and would like to program it with your own music.

If you have a brooch and would like to use it with your phone, please refer to the product page for the brooches found here

please note: 

These brooches do not play the music themselves, the chip in them simply plays the programmed song on your phone.

The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Download the "NFC Tools" app from the Google Play Store or App Store

Step 2: Open the app, go to the "Write" tab, and then press "add a record"

Step 3: Press "Custom URL/URI" 

Step 4: Go to your desired music app (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and "share" the song by copying a link

Step 5: Paste that link into the "Enter your URL/URI" section in the NFC Tools app.

Step 6: Press the "Write" Button in the NFC Tools app.

Step 7: Tap the brooch to the back of your phone, saving the link to the brooch.

Step 8: Tap the brooch again to the back of the phone to play the song!
