Natalia Tjiang is a fibre artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. She has a passion for all things
creative, with a particular focus on hand embroidery and micro-crochet jewellery. Her work is a celebration of the ancient craft of hand embroidery, drawing on inspiration from everyday
experiences, using a wide variety of techniques, especially dimensional embroidery. Micro-
crochet developed from her inheritance of her german grandmother’s vast collection of hand
crocheted lace handkerchiefs and the discovery of the miniature crocheted flowers of Japan.
Using fine threads, beads and delicate fabrics she creates intricate designs at miniature scale-
bringing thoughtful craftsmanship, a love of colour and sparkle to everyday adornment.
