Ariane Julien is a Toronto based jeweller and goldsmith. They graduated from the Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College in 2016. Ariane has been a lover of metal work since they were little. As a child they even asked for an anvil for Christmas. They are passionate about the many forms of metal work from forging to filing, applying these techniques to handcrafted silver and gold pieces.

The ornamental style of gothic wrought ironwork, particularly of fences, balustrades and balconies have always fascinated and inspired Ariane. Many of their jewellery designs are reminiscent of the intricate pointed arches, trefoils, and scrolls seen in classic decorative blacksmithing. They greatly enjoy applying the style of large scale metal work to small wearable pieces. Jewellery and ironwork are similar in that both use metal as ornamentation, one for architecture and the other for the human body.
