Ana Tekos explores the intersection of traditional bead weaving and the optical properties of modern materials. Inspired by fine art, nature, and geometry, she transforms flat patterns into designs that appear strikingly multidimensional through the careful layering of Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads and their varied optical finishes.

Each bracelet is hand-woven one bead at a time, combining matte and light-reflective surfaces—such as silk, satin, and silver-lined beads—to create a subtle trompe-l'œil effect. By harnessing the “inner life” of glass, Tekos creates the illusion of depth and volume on a perfectly flat surface, turning each piece into a study of light, texture, and perception.
