Fabiana Papaleo is a designer by trade and an artist at heart. With a recognized spectrum of talents, a refined eye for the aesthetic and a broad understanding of fashion trends, Fabiana has been working in the Canadian fashion industry for the past 10 years. She has started her fashion path working for Hudson’s Bay fashion office on the trend’s department, later transitioning into a footwear product development role and then into buying. After her experience as a footwear buyer, she went to work as a product developer supplying the private brand footwear line for most labels in Canada. To complement her fashion skills she went back to work as a trend forecaster for a Brazilian agency. Fabiana has learned about fish leather while developing shoes in China, and this past year she has partnered with Mithiele Toniolo, whom has an international and business background, to commercially venture their own line of accessories.
Mithiele Toniolo has a bachelor degree in International Business, MBA in Finance and is certified in Jewelry craftmanship. She mastered her commercial abilities as a sales manager for wealth management institutions in Brazil, China and France. Currently based in the United States, Michelle combines her international business experience with her passion for health sciences in her practice as a Health Coach and as the business development lead for Mimo.
Mimo (Meaningful Ideas for Meaningful Objects) was created with a purpose to transform discarded fish leather into a meaningful jewelry line that has a unique flare. We believe that statement jewelry can dress one’s personality and add colour to their story.
